Kateri Busiek
Kateri is a labor and employment attorney who regularly counsels clients on workplace employment issues and policies and who assists clients in a wide range of labor and employment matters, including workplace discrimination and harassment, wage and hour issues, grievance arbitration, and contract disputes.
Kateri has long been committed to a career in law. She earned her bachelor’s degree with double majors in Political Science and Criminology & Law Studies at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Kateri worked as a litigation paralegal prior to law school.
While earning her law degree at Saint Louis University School of Law, Kateri focused heavily on experiential learning to build a strong foundation for her practice today. She spent semesters and summers in various legal settings, including Martone Legal, Legal Services of Eastern Missouri in its Neighborhood Advocacy program, Catholic Legal Assistance Ministry, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois. In law school, she also participated in the trial advocacy program to learn the art of courtroom advocacy, represented St. Louis entrepreneurs in transactional matters through the Entrepreneurship and Community Development Clinic, and served as an editor on the Saint Louis University Law Journal.
